PSP 2019 IS HERE! We’ll be kicking off our 5th annual outdoor season on Sunday June 30th with a gathering for all the Pleasure Seekers & Funky People. Reunite with family & friends for a day of sun, fun & recreational activities. Lounge. Commune. Socialize. Enjoy positive vibrations for soulful music lovers. You can play, dance & eat a bit, too. 🙂

THIS YEAR’S EVENT THEME IS TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY! Let’s show thanks for our educators, teachers and professors! So invite your favorite classroom or arts instructor outdoors for our annual community gathering in the park with great people, good food and soul music. We close out Black Music Month and usher in summer vacation!

There is no vending – Bring your own coolers, grills, picnic snacks & preferred beverages. Don’t forget to bring Blankets, Tents, Chairs & Sports Games of your preference. Kids Are Welcome. FREE for ALL.

FAIRMOUNT PARK-PICNIC RULES

(1) There should be no setups before 10am. Please arrive between 10am & 1pm for the best choice of picnic locations & parking near our location!
(2) Our location is easy to find using the street directions above. Lemon Hill Mansion Picnic Sites #2 & #7. Look for the covered pavilion next to the Yellow Mansion. We are up the hill in the back behind the pavilion.
(3) NO Gas Grills. Only Charcoal Grills can be used at/next to the picnic sites – Grilling space is very limited ~ first-come, first-serve.
(4) Outdoor Chairs, Umbrellas & Canopy Tents (maximum 10′ x 10′) are allowed. NO business advertisement or promotional banners are permitted.
(5) There’s no site load-in area. Please don’t drive on the grass to drop off your gear. We suggest using rolling coolers and portable outdoor furniture for your group. Can you roll/carry it while walking from your parked car?
(6) Alcohol is only permitted in cups for attendees over 21 with ID. NO SALE of alcohol is permitted. The Philadelphia Police Dept will enforce this.
(7) Bring your own BBQ food, snacks & cool, summer beverages. – NO Food, Crafts or Merchandise sales/vending of any type is permitted.
(8) DO NOT park on the grass. You will be ticketed by PPD. Vehicle parking is FREE. Use locations along the roadsides of Sedgely Drive & Poplar Streets or along Lemon Hill Drive.
(9) Do not STOP or BLOCK traffic flow temporarily on Lemon Hill Mansion Drive. This street way must remain open for cars at all times.
(10) Public Restrooms and portable toilets will be located close by our picnic location.
(11) Please clean up your entire area & take your trash with you before you leave. Use trash bags for garbage pick up & removal. Please don’t get us fined for excessive trash left in the area.
(12) DO NOT dump hot grill charcoal near plastic & park garbage cans – this is a fire hazzard. Be wise.
(13) Bring fun, outdoor activities & your favorite sports games, if you would like. Move about & exercise a little!
(14) A Basketball Court, Softball Field, Children’s Playground & Boat House Row are within walking distance to our location. Yes, kids are welcome.
(15) Relax. Reunite. Commune. Socialize. A Soulful sound track will be provided by the hosts. We are all family & friends having a good time in the park.
